I teach in the Film & Media Department of Hunter College in New York City. Broadly speaking, my research and teaching fall at the intersection of communication technologies, policy, politics, and culture.
In May of 2009, I earned a Ph.D. in communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania.
You are welcome to download my dissertation (large pdf), which is licensed under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license.
This page has a bit of information on my research, teaching, and policy advocacy. For more about these, please see my curriculum vitae (pdf).
Along with three other Penn alumni/students, I blog at ShoutingLoudly, which is also my Twitter handle.
Finally, you're welcome to call my office or email me.
